Stretch and Flex Workshop

This 20 minute session will focus on exercises to lengthen muscles to help the overall ease of your workout and day to day life. With the help of an instructor we will go through the basic (for example, things that are daily niggles) and more advanced stretches, and how to gradually increase the intensity eventually improving your flexibility. A great way to feel relaxed after any form of exercise.

Who is it for?

FREE for all members with an interest in improving flexibility. This workshop is ideal for beginners as well as experienced exercisers who want to improve their performance. 

What will the workshop cover?

Do you want to end your workout in a way that makes you feel invigorated, less tense and ready to continue your day with a positive attitude. Stretch and Flex will demonstrate the most beneficial stretches for a post workout cool down. It will also offer tips on how to increase the flexibility of your muscles. You’ll have an instructor present to assist you with correct technique and offer suggestions on how to get the most out of your stretches, gradually becoming more flexible. We ask a lot of our muscles when exercising, so completing a good stretch can help in many ways. Increased flexibility will ultimately allow you to exercise more effectively in any situation. Stretching after exercise will release any tension and/or lactic acid that builds up in the muscles during our workouts, hopefully eliminating any sore/stiff muscles post workout.
