Club Sport Coaching Roles 2019

We’re looking for qualified coaches to join our team. We’ve recently taken over 25 competitive student clubs that compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and are looking for coaches for some of our clubs.

The University of Portsmouth is currently within the top 50 nationwide, for overall BUCS points across all sports. 49 University of Portsmouth teams were entered into the BUCS leagues for the 2018/19 season. So far we have secured 258 wins, 30 draws and 243 losses this year. We have a win percentage of 49%. We’d like to improve on these numbers for 2019/20.

University of Portsmouth Hockey Club

The University of Portsmouth Hockey Club comprises of 4 Men’s teams and 3 Women’s teams and we’re looking for coaches to improve our performance. We’re looking for a coach to lead the mens 1st team as well as a coach to lead the women’s 1st team.

We’re looking to recruit a coach to lead the Men’s 1st team next season. The team currently play in the BUCS 1A league against other Universities in the South East. The successful candidate will be available to deliver weekly training sessions from September – April, and attend matches to manage the squad where possible. Training sessions take place on Monday evenings, 8.30pm – 10pm at Langstone Campus. Fixtures take place on Wednesday afternoons (times and locations vary).

 

We’re looking to recruit a coach to lead the Women’s 1st team next season. The team currently play in the BUCS 1A league against other Universities in the South East. The successful candidate will be available to deliver weekly training sessions from September – April, and attend matches to manage the squad where possible.

University of Portsmouth Basketball Club

The University of Portsmouth Basketball Club are looking to recruit a coach to lead their Women’s team for the season. The successful candidate will be required to deliver weekly training sessions from October – April, and attend fixtures if/when possible. The Women’s team currently compete in BUCS 2A South East league, competing regularly against other Universities.

University of Portsmouth Futsal Club

The University of Portsmouth Futsal Club are looking to recruit a coach to lead their teams for the season. The club formed in 2015, with just one team competing in BUCS South East 2A league. After expanding the club and gaining promotion last season, they now have their 1st team in 1A, and a 2nd team in 3A.

The University of Portsmouth Athletics Club are looking to recruit two coaches to lead the delivery and development of training sessions for their long/middle distance and sprint athletes. We’re looking for the successful candidate to deliver weekly sessions between October and April.

University of Portsmouth Lacrosse Club

The University of Portsmouth Lacrosse Club are looking to recruit a coach to lead the delivery of training sessions for the Men’s and Women’s team. We’re looking for the successful candidate to deliver weekly sessions between September and April. Ideally we’d like the successful candidate to manage one of the teams at fixtures if available.

The University of Portsmouth Rowing Club are looking to recruit a coach to lead the delivery and development of training sessions. We’re looking for the successful candidate to deliver weekly water based sessions between October and April. Ideally we’d like the successful applicant to lead team on race days at competitions throughout the year.

The University of Portsmouth Ultimate Frisbee Club are looking to recruit a coach to lead the delivery and development of weekly training sessions. We’re looking for the successful candidate to deliver weekly sessions between October and April. Ideally we’d like the successful candidate to attend tournaments and fixtures when possible.

The University of Portsmouth Women’s Rugby Club are looking to recruit an Assistant Coach and a Head Coach for the 2019/20 season. We’re looking for the successful candidate to deliver, develop and lead weekly sessions between September and April. Ideally we’d like the successful candidate for the Head Coach role to attend and manage fixtures.

University of Portsmouth Men’s Rugby Club

The University of Portsmouth Men’s Rugby Club have an exciting opportunity for any aspiring or established coaches, to join their coaching team as a voluntary Assistant Coach and support their teams for the 2019-20 season. The club consists of 6 teams who compete against other Universities – the 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s are in British University and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues, with the 1s in Premier South B; and the 5s & 6s compete in a local development league. The club prides itself on providing a friendly, inclusive environment, offering playing opportunities to students of all ability levels.
