THE PURPLE REIGN of SQUASH

BUCS END OF SEASON REPORT:

SQUASH

FROM THE PRESIDENT:

Josh Taylor

The 2019/20 season was very successful for Portsmouth Squash. The men’s first team came second in a close battle for the title of the tier 1 division in the south east, narrowly missing out by 5 points in what was a 3-horse race. This was an excellent result given the quality of the other teams in the division. Men’s second team faired well in the competitive Tier 3 league finishing third overall with some good performances throughout the season from first year players stepping up when required. Both teams had a tough cup draw with men’s first being placed in the championship cup against the best teams in the country and the second’s unlucky not to get a result over league rivals in the cup. Overall it was a great season with many individual performances shining throughout, we’re looking forward to the next year of squash and the challenges that face us.

The MVP Formula to cross pollinate statistical information across a range of sports is a closely guarded secret and has taken a team of scientists decades to construct in a top secret base in the Alps.

The whereabouts of these scientists is currently unknown…
