 Volleyball Halls Tournament

  • Winner: Hello Students
  • Participants: 38
  • Teams: 5 teams across 7 halls

Before the tournament started each team was assigned a member from the volleyball GASA drop in to teach them some basic volleyball techniques. These members then then acted as mentors/coaches to teams throughout the tournament.

The tournament used a league structure with teams playing each other twice in 5 minute fixtures across two courts.

Once all fixtures were completed, the fifth place team was knocked out and two placing fixtures were played for 1st and 3rd place. These games were played up to 25.

The final was between Hello Students and James Watson and saw a closely fought fixture with each team trading places for the lead.

In the end Hello Students won the fixture 25-23 to win the volleyball halls tournament!

Basketball Halls Tournament

  • Winner: Rees Halls
  • Participants: 46
  • Teams: 5 teams across 7 halls

Rees Halls placed first in the tournament after winning 4 games, with an overall points difference of +24.
